This beautiful estate offers creative tastings, a fine-dining restaurant, casual dining Riviera Bar, Taphouse, car gallery and WA’s first surfing museum. The first vines were planted in 1986 on prime country in Yallingup and offers some of the regions' best varietals, such as Chenin Blanc, SBS, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Malbec. The Aravina Estate Restaurant offers fine-dining in an elegant, "Vogue-living" style setting, The menu focuses on local, sustainable produce, sourced from a growing collection of local farmers, as well as estate grown produce. The dishes are designed to pair with the Aravina Estate wines. Bookings are recommended, especially during holiday periods. For something more casual, unwind on the lawn and enjoy a Pizza from our Pizza Bar or grab a icy cold beer from our 8 Waves Taphouse. Visit on the weekends and enjoy live gigs on the lawn for the whole family to enjoy. The WA Surf Museum chronicles the local surf culture and history with an impressive collection of vintage surfboards and cool memorabilia to check out. Culinary Experiences
Open for lunch, and also for breakfast on the weekends, enjoy shared plates of cheese and meats or a diverse selection of site-made pasta dishes. The Farm Shop and Cellar Door also offer wine and honey tastings and sell a selection of locally-made foods.

The Pasta
A vast range of pasta is made on site. Watch the pasta being made and buy some to enjoy at home! All pasta is made with top grade semolina flour and fresh eggs, laid by happy Margaret River chickens.

The Wine
Enjoy small-batch wines, handpicked by owners Raminta and Egidijus Rusilas and their family and friends. Wine styles include Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet blends.

Local Honey – 100% Raw & Real
Barnyard 1978 works with local independent beekeepers to deliver varietal honeys from around WA. The range is constantly evolving based on natural supplies. Typically, there are seven or more varieties available for free tastings including Marri, Karri, Red Bell, Wandoo, White Gum and  Blackbutt.

Built in 2002, Forester Estate focuses on making wines that showcase northern Margaret River’s wine style, leaning towards lighter, fruitier white wines and finely structured, elegant reds.

The vineyard was planted in 1995 and acquired by owners Kevin and Jenny McKay in 2001. The wines are made from estate-grown fruit and a selection of small “gems” of fruit sourced from the hills and valleys of nearby vineyards.

Magnificent Eucalypt trees surround the Estate, reminiscent of a thriving forestry trade, the primary industry of the region from the 1850s. The Estate still has a saw pit that was used by the original pioneers to mill timber, which was then transported by ox and cart to Yallingup-Siding, the nearby railway station. This timber, especially the hardwood Mahogany (Jarrah), was exported around the world. Even today, many streets of London lie on the Jarrah trees milled from the forests of Margaret River.

The name Forester Estate is derived from this history.

The name House of Cards is inspired by the gamble winemakers and growers take every vintage, forced to play the hand they are dealt by Mother Nature. Owners Travis and Elizabeth Wray are personally involved in every aspect of operations, from tending the vines to making wine, bottling, marketing and sales.

The Wines
The fruit that goes into House of Cards wine all comes from a single vineyard planted in 1997 on Caves Road at the Northern end of the Margaret River Wine Region, enabling the unique terroir to be reflected in each vintage. To get the best 'hand' possible, organic and biodynamic principles are used to improve soil health and vine nutrition. The vineyard is dry grown and cropped at low levels to increase concentration of fruit flavours. The rest is up to Mother Nature.

Unique Highlights

Chris, Jo, Lucas and Violette Davies are a young West Australian family and the grape growers and artisan wine producers at Windows Estate.

All Windows Estate vines are cared for meticulously and dry block grown to ensure maximum concentration of flavours. Chris, a passionate viticulturist, completes every vineyard operation single-handedly. Apart from the very day the grapes are harvested, no one else is ever allowed to touch his vines!

In the winery, the preference is toward ancient, hand-processing methods with minimal use of machinery. As one of few remaining wineries still using a manual basket press, Window’s Estate Basket Pressed Cabernet Merlot, Basket Pressed Cabernet Sauvignon and Basket Pressed Shiraz are special propositions in Margaret River.

Sustainability is a key focus and over 60% of the Estate is reserved as natural bushland. Minimal intervention is employed in grape growing and winemaking processes and as a certified organic vineyard only organic fertilisers are used.

Cellar Door tastings are available daily. We also make our own pickles on site at our picklery, using locally grown produce. These can also be tasted and purchased at our cellar door. Cheese platters can be purchased to enjoy at the Estate. Being a small, family business, bookings are requested for tasting groups of 6 or more people.
