Description

We are the owners and caretakers of four distinct sites spanning multiple sub-regions. Our oldest vineyard, established in 1976, is also home to our signature cellar door and vineyard kitchen. Clairault Streicker wines are authentic and classically-styled, setting a benchmark for the Margaret River region.

Wine Tasting
Take a seat and let our knowledgable team guide you through our range. Our tasting style is designed to give you an intimate and personalised journey. A private space has been dedicated to our valued Cellar Club members with sweeping views of the surrounding vineyards. The Cellar Door is open 10am-5pm daily.

The Food
Our food is seasonal and modern, served in a casual style and made with ingredients sourced from producers local to the venue. Enjoy a glass of wine with your meal near our gorgeous stone fireplace in winter, or on a picnic blanket in the gardens on a lovely summer’s day. Long, lazy lunches with family or friends any time of year are what we do best. The Vineyard Kitchen is open 11am - 4pm daily.

Description

Coward & Black Vineyards is a world-class small producer making wines from Margaret River and the Swan Valley. Their first vintage won five medals from five entries in the Perth Royal Wine Show and has continued to improve from there.

The Wines
The single-vineyard Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon have each won top prizes in national and international wine competitions. Sweet wine lovers will enjoy their Sweetness & Light, Muscat and Chenin Blanc. Chocolate lovers travel miles to try their Sambarino, a liqueur that promises to take people to their happy place! A collaboration with the Margaret River Chocolate Company, its popularity has seen the Sambarino range expand to include flavours like Hazelnut Mousse, Macchiato and After Dinner Mint.

Wine Tastings
The wines can be tasted alongside a changing selection of other seasonal treats and condiments at Providore in Margaret River. Open from 9am to 5pm daily, this is a perfect place for early risers to start their wine tasting adventure.

Stock up for a gourmet night in here with Providore’s selection of verjuice syrups, tapenade, dessert sauces, salad dressings, estate-grown olive oil, jams, chutneys spice blends, cheese, condiments and more.

Flying Fish Cove is a producer of premium quality, great value, passionate wines, located 25km north of Margaret River township, along the renowned Caves road in the Wilyabrup sub-regional area. In addition to an approachable range of Margaret River varietal wines, look out for a sparkling range with a Pinot Noir Chardonnay (white) and a sparkling Shiraz (red). Stormflower Vineyard

Description

Southern Cross Certified Organic since 2016, this boutique winery is known for superb-quality, sustainably made wines from their exceptional vineyard in Wilyabrup. The vineyard was planted in the mid-1990s. Stormflower acquired the property in 2007 progressed along the path of natural vineyard management, culminating in organic certification. The wines are textural and structured and perfect for pairing with food. Sparkling Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon Blend, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon and Botrytis wine are made.

Cellar Door

The minimalist, understated cellar door continues the sustainable philosophy, with its natural feel and tasting table made from a Marri tree that blew down during a storm in 2013. The cellar door offers seated tastings, reflecting the winemakers’ preference to enjoy wines in an environment that is simple, welcoming and unhurried. Post-tasting, grab one of Stormflower’s picnic rugs and enjoy a glass of wine in the gardens.

Description

Woody Nook prides itself on boutique winemaking that is laid back but highly awarded. In the past decade the wines have won more than 200 awards including 3 trophies and a bucketful of medals.

It all began in 1978 when original owners Jeff and Wynn Gallagher purchased a Margaret River property that was home to a saw mill with the intention of planting vines. The first cuttings were planted in 1982 and the first Woody Nook wines made in 1987 in a winery built solely from the native materials growing on the property. In 2000 Peter and Jane Bailey became owners.

The Wines

The range includes sweet to dry table wines made from Margaret River’s signature varieties alongside a few surprises including a Graciano, Tempranillo, Chenin Blanc and a Port.

Cellar Door

Woody Nook’s friendly cellar door offers complimentary wine tastings from 10am to 5pm daily. An onsite gift shop stocks a range of souvenirs and there is also the unique opportunity to “adopt a vine.”

The Food

Oozing with rustic, cozy charm, The Nookery Café seats up to 120 people and is set against an impressive backdrop of jarrah and marri forest with indoor and outdoor dining options to suit all seasons. The menu is classic and hearty and there are great options for kids, who will also love the playground and lawn area. Open for breakfast and lunch daily from 8.30am.

Unique Highlights

The owner’s former residence on the property is now available as a holiday rental, complete with breathtaking vineyard views and breakfast at the Nookery Café.
