Creative Albany is a community association which aims to bridge the gap between business and creative people. We support creative endeavours that bring vibrancy and economic diversity to our city - Albany, Western Australia.

Our Facebook page is a place for sharing, collaborating and networking. We promote a range of creative projects including those directly associated to our group, and independent works within Albany and the Great Southern.

Creative Albany is always welcoming new members, so send us a message iif you'd like to be involved.

Creative Corner Inc is the peak body for the creative sector in the South West region of WA connecting people, businesses, services and events with each other and with opportunities in the region.

Description

<p> Incorporated as a not-for-profit since 2012 the Creative Corner works to support and grow the local creative sector and position the South West as internationally recognised region of excellence in creativity and innovation attracting and retaining people in a sustainable local economy. Creative Corner initiatives and activities include:</p> <p> Emergence Creative Festival<br /> Film South West website<br /> HQ Co-Working Space at the Margaret River Education Campus<br /> Outaspace Pass linking Creative Corner members with other co-working spaces<br /> Free Generator Mentor Program<br /> South West Music Strategy<br /> Regular workshops and networking events<br /> Cabin Fever Festival<br /> Country Arts WA Regional Arts Hub Project for the South West</p>

Department for Culture and the Arts

The Department of Culture and the Arts commitment is focussed on enriching lives of all Western Australians by supporting the arts and cultural sectors to provide unique and transforming experiences.

Description

With a broad canvas of responsibilities, Western Australia’s Department of Culture and the Arts supports the impetus for the creation and consumption of artistic endeavours and cultural experiences in the state.

The Culture and Arts portfolio includes the Art Gallery of WA, the Perth Theatre Trust, ScreenWest, the State Library, the State Records Office and the WA Museum, along with the Department’s policy development and funding role. Collectively, the portfolio works to achieve a vibrant, sustainable and accessible arts sector, while protecting and promoting the state’s natural, cultural and documentary collections.

The Department’s vision paints a picture of a Western Australian community enriched by unique and transforming encounters. Whether individuals choose to be creators, participants, or simply observers in artistic or cultural encounters, these interactions enhance community wellbeing, while influencing and shaping the state’s distinctive personality.

Professional Film Crew of WA (inc)

Professional Film Crew of Western Australia is an incorporated not-for-profit established with the aim of providing representation for the professional crew of the local film & television industry.

PFCWA Vision

To promote professional Western Australian film and television crew to the screen industry.

PFCWA, in a collaborative effort with other like-minded industry associations and individuals, is focused on building and securing a sustainable film industry in WA.

We are committed to assist in lobbying government and private enterprise for suitable film industry infrastructure, for now and the future.

We support the promotion of WA as a filming location and provide information about the Professional Film Crew of Western Australia members.

We seek to encourage our membership to continually achieve the highest level of professional standards through the provision of information, networking opportunities and further training.

We endeavour to provide a strong sense of community for our members through ongoing communication, support and social activity.
