Description

The first Wanneroo Agricultural show was officially opened by Sir John Forrest on August 21 1909 following a resolution of the Wanneroo Road Board in 1908 declaring “… that Members of the Board form themselves into a committee for the purpose of forming an Agricultural Society to promote a Show in the district.”

Since then, each year the Wanneroo Agricultural Show has showcased agriclultural, horticultural and other associated industries with the Wannero region and has grown to become both the state’s largest Regional Agrcultural Show and the Premier community event with the Wanneroo region.

In 2019 the Wanneroo Agricultural Show will be held over two days, Friday November 29th and Saturday November 30th with over 1200 competitive classes in agriculture, horticulture, livestock, hobbies, arts, crafts, and more.

Live in the Amphitheatre

Join us under the stars at the City of Wanneroo’s Jacaranda Amphitheatre throughout the summer months for a range of outdoor activities including movie screenings, live music, circus entertainment.

Embrace the pre-show atmosphere, sit back, relax and indulge in a picnic under the stars.  Free popcorn will be available on most nights.

Start times will vary depending on the activity so please be sure to check the details on your ticket.

All nights are free, but tickets and photo ID to show you are a City of Wanneroo resident are essential.

There is a maximum of four adult tickets per email/residential address. Children 15 and under require a children’s ticket.

Tickets will be available from the 18th November 2019.

Wanneroo Festival

A Community Festival held within the heart of our City that provides the opportunity for residents and community members to come together and celebrate Wanneroo and it’s diverse culture.

Description

Starting at 4pm the event will run into the evening with an array of colour, multicultural music, dance and inclusive activities for the whole family to enjoy.  The event will provide opportunity for local community groups to showcase their cultural traditions, provide the community with a sense of place and encourage social cohesion in a safe and accessible environment.

Attendees can journey through the Global Laneway to experience the many cultures that make up the City of Wanneroo.

There will be a variety of international food vendors so attendees can experience the many flavours from around the world.

The City are looking for expressions of interest from cultural groups and businesses to support this new event within the City of Wanneroo. We will be accepting interest for the following categories: Cultural and Roving Performers, Food Vendors, Cultural Activities and Stallholders.
