Our vision, Freedom from Diabetes, captures the focus of what we do: to minimise the impact of diabetes in Western Australia. We strive to achieve this by:
- Providing diabetes-related products to the Western Australian community to help people manage the condition. (To browse the online shop click here).
- Providing a range of support and education services to make living with diabetes easier.
- Offering programs that inform the community about the ways of safeguarding against or reducing the impact of diabetes, including type 2 diabetes prevention initiatives.
- Providing resources and information for health professionals.
- Advocating on behalf of people with diabetes to eliminate unfair practices and stigma.
- Representing a membership base of over 12,000 people affected by, or at risk of, diabetes.
- Raising vital funds to support research and programs.
- Supplying information and advice to anyone wanting to know more about diabetes.
This important work cannot be achieved alone. It is through the generosity and support of the WA community that we are able to ensure this work is delivered and sustained for the future.

Kidney Health Australia's mission, vision and values are at the core of how we conduct our business and form the foundation for our future direction.
To promote good kidney health through education, advocacy, research and support.
To save and improve the lives of Australians affected by kidney disease.
Commitment to excellence
Commitment to ‘making a difference'
Kidney Health Australia is a not for profit organization whose focus is to improve kidney health outcomes leading to substantial improvements to the quality of life for people with kidney and urinary tract diseases, their families and carers, as well as developing initiatives that reduce the incidence of kidney disease in the Australian community.
Kidney Health Australia has given a long term commitment to families and children affected by kidney disease, but the biggest challenge remains for us to reach those two million Australians who do not know they have early kidney damage.
Fast Facts on CKD
Kidney disease has no warning signs which means that a person can lose up to 90% of their kidney function before they realise they are sick. It is for that reason that kidney disease is referred to as ‘the silent killer'. Kidney Health Australia works tirelessly to make a noise about this 'silent' disease' which claims many lives every day in Australia. Refer to Fast Facts on CKD for statistics.
