Hosting over 100 talented emerging Aboriginal artists, the galleries will brim with contemporary work, fresh from the studios of WA’s Aboriginal Art Centres and independent artists. Not to be missed, the exhibition will open with a very special performance by the Red Sand Beat Band, who are travelling here from the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. Their laidback reggae desert beats and lyrics tell stories of their homelands, daily life and keeping culture strong. Revealed is an annual exhibition which provides an important platform for emerging WA Aboriginal artists to connect with new audiences. Edmund Rice Centre has been delivering Leadership and Arts Programs free since 2010. •The program is funded by the Smith Family and partners with the Museum Of Freedom and Tolerance, Community Arts Network, Heathway, City of Stirling, FairGame and Perth Festival.• The Leadership program is Theory based and the sessions are done at a Leadership level. The session are ethical and teach our young leaders about the different aspects of Leadership, how to be a better leader and what it is all about. Games or some practical activities are also done to reinforce some of the sessions and make it fun and engaging for the participants of the program. The Creative Arts Programs also cover a wide range of activities like Origami, Drawing and Painting, drama and theatre. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch via phone or email.

Taking place at Fremantle Arts Centre on the second Tuesday of each month, the morning tea is for people living with dementia; an informal and social affair where people can feel welcomed and accepted, remain socially active and make new friends.

In recognising the need to encourage inclusion of people living with dementia in the local community, Alzheimer’s WA has partnered with local Government and businesses to bring the Memory Café concept to Western Australia.

The year is 2530. Humans have long since left planet Earth. After mistreating the natural environment for centuries, they were forced to see a new home beyond the stars. What remains is little more than an abandoned pile of decaying infrastructure, appliances, and a scattered population of LEGO minifigs. Built for the young and young-at-heart, using found objects, LEGO, mixed media and multiple layers of storytelling; RELICS; Bricks of the New World is a timely exploration of adaptation, sustainability, diversity and the connections we make with one another. Free to the public, no booking required.


To entertain the kids this summer, Subiaco Library offers storytime sessions where children can enjoy listening to books in a group setting followed by a playtime or a take home colouring sheet.

Ten Pound Pom - The Illustrated picture book

In the 1950s and 1960s, thousands of British migrants were welcomed to Australia as part of assisted passage migration schemes. This exhibition explores this story, showing how Liz Anelli crafted the illustrations through layering of sketches, collage, ephemera and digital techniques. When we think of Vikings, we think of fierce warriors wielding blades of iron and steel. We think of sleek, powerful vessels carrying fearless raiders across treacherous seas to invade foreign shores. Theirs was a time of conquest and colonisation, but the legacy of the Vikings is defined by more than the battles they won. This exhibition features the largest collection of Vikings artefacts ever displayed in Western Australia. The exhibition features over 140 authentic artefacts dated between 750 and 1100 CE, each offering a unique glimpse into this riveting time in European history.

This game attracts a range of players, from young people recoving from injuries to older players that are 50+. Everyone is welcome! If you'd like to try this unusual take on the original game of netball, get in touch.
