  • Dates:Wednesday 4 December 2019
  • Time(s):3.00pm - 9.00pm
  • Venue:Nedlands Yacht Club

Details

  • Type:Networking
  • Industry:Real Estate
  • Hosted By:UDIA

Description

Situated on the foreshore of the Swan River at Nedlands, with wide grassy lawns and sandy beaches, the Nedlands Yacht Club is an ideal location for this celebration. With the City of Perth skyline as our backdrop, the WA development industry will come together in a picturesque and relaxed atmosphere, to enjoy the sunshine and the sunset over the glistening Swan River.

Running for a total of 6 hours (3.00pm – 9.00pm) the UDIA WA End of Year Sundowner will offer the development industry the opportunity to unwind by enjoying an exceptional food and beverage package (roving canapes, as well as food trucks/stations serving more substantial offerings), partaking in lawn games (table tennis, giant jenga & connect four, quoits and more), listening to live music (chill acoustic singer-songwriter initially, and then a full band, The Subdividers, playing later into the night) and catching up with colleagues, clients & industry associates (old & new).

The UDIA WA End of Year Sundowner is a casual soiree. Replacing the old Christmas Lunch (who wants to sit in a dark ballroom when it’s summer outside?), the innovative, dynamic and fun nature of this event will ensure it is positioned as THE must attend festive season event for those in the WA development industry; a truly festive event which will encourage attendees to mingle, feet in the sand; drink in hand. It is set to become the highlight event of the year & paves the way for an annual tradition!

UDIA WA: Politics & The Economy with Jonathan Pain

Perth in a Global Context

  • Dates:Feb 14
  • Time(s):12.00pm - 2.30pm
  • Venue:Crown Perth

Details

  • Type:Workshops,Courses,Networking,Talks,Lunches
  • Industry:Real Estate
  • Hosted By:UDIA

Description

In February 2019, at the first UDIA WA Industry luncheon of the year, Jonathan Pain accurately predicted that the Reserve Bank would slash interest rates to less than 1% by the end of the year. We are now at 0.75% and tipped to go lower.

Jonathan highlighted that credit is the oxygen of real estate, and that tightened lending standards has subsequently left the WA residential market on life support.

Australia’s economy has slowed to its most sluggish pace in a decade, following a decline in China’s economic growth and escalating tensions between China and the US. How do we diversify our economy? What can we expect for Australia in 2020 and the years to come? How will the WA economy fare? What are the risks & opportunities?

UDIA WA has again secured highly sought after independent global economics expert, Jonathan Pain, to deliver an informative and entertaining masterclass; sharing his accurate insights and humorous observations on the key global economic and political events that are likely to impact the state of play in WA (and what this means for the property market & development industry),  in an easy to understand manner.

Don’t miss your chance to hear his predictions and have all of your pressing questions answered. Jonathan will leave you with trusted information in order to make informed business decisions in the year(s) ahead.

Attendance at this luncheon attracts 1.5 REBA CPD points.
