Description

Owned and operated by Kate and Shaun Woods, the 10 Chains vineyard is situated within the Pemberton Wine Region and was established in 1996. The rich loam soils that are unique to the Karri forests of the region, which provide ideal growing conditions for the cool climate wine style associated with Pemberton.

The name 10 Chains draws from the historic measurement of a “chain” used up until the 1960s for mapping and land surveying.

The Wines

Varieties include Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon.

Discover 20+ different sweet to dry table and fortified wines from one of Pemberton’s earliest established wineries at a relaxed cellar door set with picturesque views and a “family business” charm.

Description

Donnelly River Wines was one of the first in the region Pemberton wine region. Established on the Donnelly River in 1985, the property’s rich river flats, surrounding hills and tall Karri trees have proved ideal for premium viticulture; the vines benefitting from the dry, cool ripening period within the area.

The Wines

Donnelly River's range includes an approachable mix of sweet to dry red and white wines, prosecco and traditional method sparkling and classic port and muscat. Wines can be purchased at the Pemberton cellar door, the Donnelly warehouse in Joondalup or online.

Cellar Door

The popular rustic cellar door offers a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the picturesque vineyard to discover the extensive wine range. Open Friday to Monday 10am-5pm.

Hidden River Estate

Select a glass of premium wine and dine over lunch from a creative, local-ingredient filled menu, set with stunning views of the ancient Karri forest and picturesque surrounds of Pemberton.

Description

Owners Ardal and Sue made a seachange from Perth to Pemberton with their two children in 2014. Ardal's 30 years of experience as a chef contributed greatly to the design and refurbishment of the estate's beautiful restaurant where he spends most of his time when not in the vineyard and gardens with Sue.

Only 3km from the Pemberton township, the vineyard at Hidden River Estate was established in 1994 and is situated on rich Karri loam soil. The vines have consistently produced exceptional berries from which the wines are produced, imbibed with the distinct fruit characters of the terroir and climate of cool nights and warm summer days.

The Wines

The wines are labelled with iconic illustrations by Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha and reflect the sophistication and elegance of Hidden River wines and are a celebration of nature and beauty. Varieties include an Unwooded Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Wooded Chardonnay, Sweet Chardonnay, Rose and Merlot. Wines are available for tasting and purchase at the estate's charming cellar door, open Wednesday to Sunday 10am - 4pm.

The Food

Overlooking the giant Karri trees of Pemberton, Chef-owner Ardal has continued a theme of nature and beauty through his menus, capturing the spectrum of tastes, flavours and fragrance from the regional produce.  He believes in genuine honest food which can come from traditional recipes as well as the new and novel approaches. His well-crafted dishes combine the art of taste with the knowledge of cooking.

Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am - 4pm. 

 

Lost Lake Vineyard & Winery

Taste the creative range of this new generation, family-owned estate, known for their single vineyard premium wines and ciders, served at one of Pemberton’s most artistic cellar doors.

Description

Established in 1989, Lost Lake Vineyard is situated in the scenic Eastbrook Valley in the heart of the Pemberton Wine Region. Ash and Tia Lewkowski took it over in 2014, and along with grape vines, raise alpacas, sheep on their property.  The 8 hectare vineyard has some of the region’s oldest. vines and produces around fifty tonnes of premium cool-climate fruit.

The Wines

Winemaker, Ash follows a purist approach and follows environmentally conscious principles to optimise their site and make the Lost Lake range which includes Pinot Rose, Honey Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Two ciders are also produced.

Cellar Door

The homely, dog-friendly cellar door, complete with a striking painted mural is open Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm. For something a little different, book in to Ash’s 60 minute wine appreciation course. It operates on Sundays by appointment.

Pemberley

Synonymous with quality, Pemberley produces premium cool climate wines, wine grapes and gourmet food products, as well as hosting seasonal Comedy Events in the Pemberley vineyard at Pemberton.

Description

Synonymous with quality, Pemberley of Pemberton produces a wide range of premium cool climate grapes, wines and gourmet food products. Over the years we have had the privilege of being awarded a multitude of awards for our quality wines. We're currently working on growing larger audience in order to showcase what we have to offer.
 
The property was first farmed by the Radomiljac family in the 1970s, and later established as a vineyard in 1995 by Monica and David Radomiljac who, along with the next generation, have worked consistently to refine this farming enterprise to ensure they offer the best produce possible.
Pemberley has a diverse portfolio; hazelnut and oak plantings inoculated with black truffle, seasonal plantings of potatoes, freshwater marron, Angus cows, and yearly litters of Labrador Retrievers puppies.

Pemberley vineyard now includes 74 hectares of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Prosecco, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Merlot and Pinot Gris. 

The wines, particularly  Lustre - methode tradionelle sparkling, have received great success and many accolades. The Lustre was awarded Best Sparkling Wine at the Wine Show of Western Australia in both 2018 and 2019 

Tours include a ‘tour and tasting’ experience and can be arranged in advance for groups of 4 – 12 people.

Description

One of Australia’s leading premium producers, Picardy was established by Bill, Sandra and Dan Pannell, the same family who established the iconic Margaret River winery, Moss Wood.

All wines are estate-grown on Picardy’s single vineyard property in Pemberton on unirrigated, cane-pruned and handpicked vines. The vineyard is managed meticulously utilising the most labour-intensive practices for canopy management to grow ultra-premium fruit. The purpose-built winery was designed tapping into Bill and Dan’s forty years of experience and follows a minimal intervention approach to winemaking.

Burgundy varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the focus and a considerable variety of clones have been planted within the vineyard. The family have imported five clones of Pinot directly from Burgundy. Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and a Bordeaux inspired red blend are also made.

The wines are available direct online or through selected retailers and restaurants.

The cellar door is available by appointment only.

Acquired by Rod and Carmel Liebeck in 1998, Woodsmoke Estate is situated in the picturesque region of Pemberton where the climate of mild summer days and cool nights produce premium wines of unique style and flavour. The limited release, estate-grown wines fuse traditional and modern techniques, resulting in great quality and approachability. Varieties include Rose, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz and a Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay blend. The cellar door is open Thursday to Sunday 11am - 5pm for generous wine tastings and sales.

The Food

Enjoy a laid-back, beer and wine-friendly menu with generous portions and ever-changing dishes. The brewery setting is perfect for the whole family, with a play room and spacious lawn area overlooking the scenic vineyard and dam that is often visited by friendly wildlife.

Unique Highlights

The estate is also home to Jarrah Jack's brewery, featuring a range of skilfully brewed beers using fine natural ingredients and time-honoured techniques.

Description

From the Bellarmine Estate vineyard in Pemberton comes a range of red and white wines that have seen Bellarmine named as one of James Halliday's Top 100 Wineries, and rated 5 Red Stars, placing it among the best of the best wineries in Australia.  The vineyard takes its name from the 15th century "Bellarmine" jugs used to carry wine from oak cask to table, and the beautiful etchings on the bottle labels are taken from these antique jugs.  Winemaker and manager Diane Miller has been making wine for Bellarmine since the first vintage in 2004 and attributes the high quality of the grapes being produced to the excellent terroir of the vineyard.  While there is no cellar door, visitors to the region can find the wines at a number of local restaurants or bottle shops, and we welcome any and all enquiries on the number below.
