Museums in Northcliffe Region

The Northcliffe Pioneer Museum in Western Australia is a must-visit attraction for history enthusiasts and those interested in local heritage. The museum showcases the history of the Northcliffe region and the Group Settlement Scheme that brought 2,000 parents and children to the forests of Northcliffe in 1924. It features historical buildings reflecting the resilience of early settlers, the George Gardner Collection of rocks and fossils, and extensive photographic collections capturing the region's history. The museum also offers local family research services, providing stories, photographs, poetry, and maps for those interested in their family's history in the area.

In addition to the Northcliffe Pioneer Museum, visitors to the region can explore the Understory Art & Nature Trail, a nationally unique art in nature experience along a 1.2km walk trail through pristine native forest. The trail features artworks, stories, poetry, and music. The Painted Tree Gallery, located within the Northcliffe Information and Visitor Centre, offers a scenic view of forest and garden, overlooking the entry to the Understory trail. These attractions collectively make Northcliffe an ideal destination for nature, art, and history enthusiasts.
