ABOUT US – SOUTHERN FOREST ARTS
Understory is managed by Southern Forest Arts - a 'not for profit' community cultural organisation. Understory and its companion, The Painted Tree Gallery, were established in November 2006, and are located within the award-winning eco-friendly Northcliffe Information & Visitor Centre. The Southern Forest Arts team are inspired by the diverse beauty of the ancient forests that surround Northcliffe, and the ingenuity and character of the individuals and community that live beneath the canopy. The group explores, celebrates and promotes the unique local identity of the region with imagination and heart.
