Description

Mundaring Arts Centre

Located in the heart of Mundaring, the Mundaring Arts Centre (MAC) is a not-for-profit, community-based arts centre which has been helping the local and broader community to participate in and enjoy art projects and activities since 1979.  Working with the community, MAC develops, coordinates and provides art works; exhibitions; festivals; community projects (including workshops); arts consultancy and public art projects.

The Gallery Gift Shop

Come in and discover a wide range of beautifully crafted and designed pieces, many of which are locally made and exclusive to MAC.  Pick up a vibrant scarf, a funky platter, or some elegant jewellery.  Admire the craft in a turned or carved timber piece, or take in the enchanting work of our region’s painters and glass artist’s.

Exhibitions

MAC’s annual program of exhibitions is designed to celebrate the talented artists and inspiring organisations who are integral to the Perth art scene.  The program provides exhibition opportunities for emerging, as well as professional West Australian artists.

Pick up a program and join us to celebrate this wealth of artistic talent.

Festivals

MAC works with community partners and artists to present a variety of Festivals throughout the year, including the Mundaring Truffle Festival; Trek the Trail and the Darlington Arts Festival.  A great way to get inspired, celebrate community and get involved!

Community Projects

MAC has a long established relationship with local schools, artists and community groups, working together to deliver recurring Arts projects and developing new projects each year.  Find out more about our exciting Arts program and take part in:

School Holiday Workshops
Fine Art workshops
Free Artist Talks
Artist residencies
Worn Out Wearable Art (WOWA) project
Trek the Trail sculpture workshops
Plus much more…

Public Art Projects and Arts Consultancy

MAC assists the Shire of Mundaring to manage public artwork commissions; to engage and liaise with artists for site-specific public artworks, and coordinate maintenance for the existing sculptures in the Shire’s Sculpture Park.  MAC can provide management of existing or new art collections, either through advice on purchasing or through leasing agreements.  If you have a specific project in mind, contact MAC to discuss it.
