Punjab

Established in 1981 by a family from the Punjab region of India, the restaurant has long been a destination choice for Indian food lovers. Punjab has always strived to provide an Indian dining experience that is unmatched. Specializing in North Indian Cuisine, the Punjab Restaurant is famous for their authentic curry, tandoori dishes and freshly baked breads. The outstanding food quality has been achievable by adhering to a policy of employing only 5 star chefs from India.

The Taste

To provide you with a 'taste worth travelling for' all produce is carefully chosen from selected regions around Australia and the world. All chicken is 'free range' chicken from Mount Barker in the South West of Western Australia and the tastiest, prime cut beef and lamb is ordered from the lush green pastured areas of our South West. The juicy Tiger Prawns are a sizable 21/25 grade and are sourced from all over Australia. The Kingclip Fish (which is the perfect texture for curries), is imported from New Zealand.

All dishes are enhanced with the chef’s secret spice recipe. Ingredients are sourced from all over the Indian sub-continent and the perfect spice combination is hand ground in our kitchen. An Indian charcoal fired tandoor is used to bake the breads, ensuring diners receive soft, perfectly baked bread every time.

Special Requests

A wide variety of dishes are available, from a kids menu to the hottest Vindaloo. The menu also contains a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. There is something on the menu to suit all palates but if you have a specific dietary requirement please speak with the wait staff, or call the restaurant in advance to ease your mind.

With a 62-metre sushi train – thought to be the longest in the Southern Hemisphere – new Japanese restaurant Sushi Wawa has opened its doors, bringing the convenience of super-fresh, fully-authentic Japanese cuisine to Perth, Western Australia.

Named in honour of its home state (‘WA’) and located opposite Ikea in Innaloo, Sushi Wawa boasts a stellar line-up of accomplished Japanese chefs. Head chef Hiroaki Fujioka (formerly of Nobu Perth) leads sous chefs George Yamahara (previously Satsuki), Mitsunori Nishida (ex Jaws), and junior sous chef Hidenori Otani (ex Rockpool).

An open kitchen takes centre stage, where more than 110 varieties of sushi, sashimi and sumptuous hot and cold dishes are created with the amazing flavour, flair and artistry synonymous with Japan. Each dish is crafted fresh, using top-quality local seafoods and produce delivered daily.

Head chef Hiroaki Fujioka says: “We are not copying Japanese food. We are Japanese chefs making what we know is real Japanese food, and we are creating it in the best way we know possible.”

Sushi Wawa’s modern-decor restaurant offers comfortable booths for up to four-to-six people, and bar-style seating for casual and solo dining. Family-friendly, there are plenty of choices for little sushi lovers, plus a kids’ zone with LCD TV and play area.
