Description

For just $80 per person, we offer the most exciting experience and best value that you will find for Whale Watching in Busselton. You will get free entry to the iconic Busselton Jetty, 10% off at the local Gift Shop and you will get up close to these gentle giants on an amazing and luxurious vessel. From September each year the whales are in Geographe Bay.

Our tours will depart daily from the Busselton Jetty at 9:45am and 1:15pm. From there we will take you out into the pristine waters of Busselton to see these loveable giants up close.

After breeding in the warmer waters up north, there will be 35,000 Humpbacks and their calves heading south to Arctic waters. The whales use Geographe Bay as their last resting area before the long swim. We have found them very playfull in previous years and can not wait to see what 2016 can produce.

The Bay also provides a resting area for Southern Right whales. Additionally, 28 Blue whales were spotted last year cruising south after their trip to the Rottnest trench to feed. These giants where surprisingly close to shore and cruising at 8 knots.

We look forward to seeing you and your family onboard!

Description

Founded in 1907 it has over 100 years of history and is rated by Australian Golf Digest magazine as one of the “Top 5” Western Australian courses outside the Perth metropolitan area. It was recently awarded “Best Regional Golf Facility” at the WA Golf Industry Awards!

Designed by Murray Dawson the course is fully reticulated by recycled town water, creating a lush and manicured paradise for golfers of all abilities. The greens are always as pure and smooth as a billiard table. 52 well-placed bunkers encourage the thoughtful golfer, and broad fairways wind through beautiful woodlands featuring magnificent redgums and peppermint trees, which host a wide variety of native birds.

International professional Stephen Leaney (runner up in the 2003 US Open and winner 9 times on the European and Australasian tour) learnt his craft here where he still plays regularly.

Diving at Busselton Jetty

This is the second longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere.

  • Activity:Diving
  • Type:Sites & Trails

Details

Description

Best area to dive is about the last 300mtrs of the jetty, you can dive it using the tourist train that takes you almost all the way out, but check on running times first. You can also hire a trolley from Naturaliste Dive (you pass it on the way to the jetty) but 2kms is a hell of a walk (don’t even think about carrying your gear!!!!).

Simplest method is a boat, you don’t need anything huge as it’s very protected here and the ramp is right next to the jetty. If you get a bit cool during your dive, the bakery next to the dive shop make the most awesome pastries (pies, sausage rolls etc).

This is also the best night dive!
