Museums in Bunbury Region

The Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre, housed in an old school building, offers a variety of exhibits including a Nyoongar history exhibition, a "Ghost Ship" installation, and displays on the city's history. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm.

In addition to the museum, Bunbury is home to the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery, a converted heritage building showcasing local artworks while preserving its original features from its time as a convent for the Sisters of Mercy.

For maritime history enthusiasts, the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is a must-visit attraction. Built in 1895 from local limestone, it stands as mainland Australia's tallest lighthouse, guiding ships through the hazardous waters at the cape. Visitors can take a tour, climb to the top for panoramic views, and delve into the lighthouse's rich history.
