Echidna Trail

A walk for true-blue hikers, this challenging walk in the Walyunga National Park takes you on a 260m ascent up Woodsome Hill.

Description

The most challenging walk in Walyunga National Park veers off from the Kingfisher Trail to climb Woodsome Hill, the highest point in the park at 260m. Returning back down the hill, walkers are rewarded with views across the Avon Valley. 

Kingfisher Trail

A 6km trail along the river to Syd's Rapids through an area experiencing vibrant regrowth.

Description

Located in Walyunga National Park, this six kilometre easy trail follows the river upstream to Syd’s Rapids before heading up a steep gravel track.  This area was burnt a few years ago and now has a thick understory of regrowth with the burnt eucalypt trunks visible above.  It intersects with the Echidna and Kangaroo trails.

Numbat Trail

Numbat Trail is a challenging 12km loop located within the Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary. The trail is suitable to the experienced walker with a moderate level of fitness.

Description

This solid day walk also incorporates parts of the Quenda and Possum trails. It provides a wonderful challenge to experienced walkers, and will reward them with a wide variety of natural features from creek lines to granite outcrops and wildflower displays, to open powderbark forest. This trail is only suitable for very fit bushwalkers, rogainers and those involved in endurance sport preparation.

Visit the new hedge maze and other attractions at The Maze Family Fun Park in Bullsbrook this holiday.
