Hayman Theatre at Curtin University

Theatre Arts at Curtin University is Western Australia’s longest running tertiary theatre programme, providing training for Western Australian theatre makers since 1973.

Description

Students at Curtin study a range of units that build the theatre maker’s toolkit exploring approaches to acting, devising, dramaturgy, directing, movement, voice and technical theatre.

Operating out of the ‘new’ Hayman Theatre, a flexible 50-90 seat theatre space that replicates industry standard equipment in all technical departments, the on-campus Hayman Theatre Company produces well over 100 performances a year.

Perth Hockey Stadium

The Perth Hockey Stadium is located at the Curtin University in the south eastern suburbs of Perth. The stadium is now one of the leading Hockey venues in the country after recently undergoing a 3.8 million dollar upgrade in time for the 2002 Women’s Hockey World Cup. With the addition of a smaller stand this venue now holds up to 6,000 fans. This venue has stood the test of time and is close to public transport.

Description

Perth Hockey Stadium is a field hockey stadium in Perth, Australia. It hosted matches for the 1985 Champions Trophy and also the 2002 Women's Hockey World Cup. The stadium is located at Curtin University and holds 6,000 people. Starting in Late 2009 Perth Hockey Stadium replaced the turf with brand new world class quality turf. The work was finished in early April 2010
