Aboriginal Attractions in WA's North West

The North West region of Western Australia, known as the Kimberley, is a vast and remote area rich in Aboriginal culture and stunning natural attractions. Spanning an area almost twice the size of Victoria, the Kimberley offers diverse landscapes, including gorges, waterways, sandstone karsts, and pristine beaches. Visitors exploring the region can enjoy highlights such as Tunnel Creek National Park, the Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park, Lake Argyle, Mitchell and Merton Falls, Karijini National Park, and Cable Beach in Broome.

In addition to its natural wonders, the North West region is home to ancient Aboriginal rock art, with some of the oldest examples in Australia. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about the local Aboriginal culture and heritage by visiting attractions like the Ardyaloon Trochus Hatchery and Aquaculture Centre and Waringarri Aboriginal Arts.
