Surfing at Centre Peak

Centres is a fast and heavy left that offers a hollow and square jawed barrel. It is located out the back of Tombstones and can be accessed via the Tombstones carpark.

Description

Centre Peak works best during a southwest to west swell and southeasterly winds, during all tides. The break is suited to exprienced surfers only and is know to be a "gentlemen's spot", so make sure you're willing to share the waves. 

 

Surfing at Fencelines

Fencelines is one of the more mellow options around the Gnaraloo area and is perfect for those not quite ready to take on the gnarlier outer reefs.

Description

Fencelines is located just out the front of 3Mile Camp and offers right and left peaks that break onto a sandy bottom. Works well at all tides with a south-west swell and south-easterly winds.This wave is not for beginners.

Surfing at Midgies

Midgies is a very unforgiving wave, offering a fast and hollow left hander, that breaks onto a sharp, jagged reef.

Description

Midgies is located out the back of Centres and Tombstones and similar to Centres, offers a heavy, hollow and square wave that can be one long, memorable ride. The break works best in southwest to west swells and southeasterly winds. For experienced surfers only. 

Surfing at Red Bluff

Red Bluff offers a heavy left-hander with a steep takeoff followed by a pitching lip and deep barrel. Strictly for the experienced surfer.

Description

Every winter, Australias North West is known to produce some of the heaviest waves around the world. Red Bluff, located along the coast of Quobba Station, produces a deep barrel that races along the reef into a channel notorious for sharks. Its a hard paddle out and another hard paddle into the wave so be sure to talk to one of the locals to get the run down. Red Bluff works best in south-easterly winds and south-southwest swells during mid-tide. 

 

Surfing at Tombstones

It’s known for some of the roundest, longest tubes in the world. It is a left hand, full on barrel from start to finish, depending on the tide and swell.

Description

Surfing at Turtles

Turtles has on offer both left and right peeling reef breaks, with the left producing a hollow bowl and workable walls.

Description

Turtles is accessible via 4WD and is locted 25 minutes south of 3Mile Camp, near the dunes. The break works best with an easterly wind and during mid-high tides. Suited to the experienced surfer.

Wedge offers a fun small beach break perfect for all abilities and ages.
