This award-winning outdoor renovation goes above and beyond the expectations of the clients. They needed an area that would allow for great entertaining and parties, with a design that provided a seamless match to their colonial-style home.
The concrete pool was designed with a resort in mind, and includes a fully tiled swim-up bar and spa, with the columns and supporting wall clad in stonework, creating a striking textural contrast. This was further supported with an illuminated stone feature wall at the end of the pool.
Decking in the alfresco area is mirrored at the entrance of the new pool house, contained to undercover areas for ease of maintenance.
Built as an extension of the home’s entertaining area, the pool house has a kitchenette, bathroom and lounge, providing that perfect functional yet relaxing zone for the clients and their visitors.
PK Construction went to extraordinary lengths to match the existing home’s brick, after being advised the exact same brick could be found buried on a block hours from Perth. Despite the time it took to dig up and transport all these bricks back to the metro area, the exercise has certainly paid off with a perfect match of the home and pool house.
