The owners of this character cottage in Nedlands wished to modernise the living areas of their home while staying true to the character of the original construction.
The design team worked closely with the client to tailor a makeover package to meet brief and budget, including not only the strip-out and renovation components, but also allowing for appliances, lighting, flooring and painting.
The kitchen was remodelled and fully renovated to feature classic white cabinetry
with brushed nickel handles, and a stunning Acquello Double Fireclay kitchen sink with exposed front.
Forty millimetre Black Galaxy granite benchtops were installed, featuring square, polished edges. New modern appliances were fitted, including a steam oven, integrated dishwasher and wine cabinet.
Other wet areas, comprising the laundry, bathroom and powder room, were fully
renovated to incorporate an uncomplicated, classic white palette.
Elsewhere in the home, the main bedroom was re-styled, and new recycled floorboards were installed throughout to relate to the original character. Ornate mouldings were added, and the home was repainted.
Perth Character Renovations can tailor a complete home makeover package including kitchen, bathroom, ensuite and laundry renovations, plus flooring and painting from $150,000. All packages also include the option of full consultation with Lisa Ausden, one of Australia’s most recognised interior designers.
