Award-winning wines of great finesse, elegance and distinction, served in an historic cellar, make Plantagenet Wines the top destination for special occasions.

Superior attention-to-detail and commitment to excellence has steered Plantagenet Wines to become one of the most trusted family-owned wine brands in the country.
Because of this, locals, families, groups and companies frequent the venue not only to enjoy the sensational wines, but also for its ambience and creative catering using local produce.

The winery's first vines were planted in 1969 by Tony Smith, a descendant of the Plantagenet royal family, providing the vineyard's first wines in 1974. In 1999, Lionel Samson and Son Pty Ltd, the long-time Plantagenet Wines wholesale representative, purchased the winery and vineyards.

The company has received multiple accolades in this time, taking home awards at the National Cool Climate Wine Show, Sydney International Wine Competition, Perth Royal Wine Show, Royal Melbourne Wine Show, Qantas Wine Show of Western Australia, Canberra International Riesling Challenge, and more.

In 2015, it was also awarded Gourmet Traveller's Large Cellar Door of the Year, Great Southern - further endorsement of the wonderful facility and service it provides.

The historic cellar door and cafe building is a stunning spot for weddings, corporate launches, birthdays and other celebrations.

Made from 100-year-old recycled timbers and a local stone material, the building has an old-world charm, but its decor is modern and tasteful.

The venue encourages guests to explore and embrace its history, and to add a piece of their personal history to the winery's. The large gardens are extensively landscaped with native trees and bushes to resemble an English cottage garden.

The venue is able to include any additional services you may require, including audiovisual equipment, dancefloor, pop-up bars, corporate display tents and external caterers.
