As the last few days have shown us, summer still reigns here in Perth and the pop-up party isn’t over yet!

During the warmer months, the city is suddenly populated by a crowd of pop-up venues, including a range of bars on the beach, by the Swan, and in the heart of the CBD. Fill your cup at these funky venues before they disappear!

Kartel Bar

Kartel Bar is an outpost on Elizabeth Quay with sunset views over the Swan River. You’ll have your pick of multiple bars once you enter the venue and there are plenty of fresh food choices to keep you satisfied. If you have a furry friend, there’s good news for you! Kartel is dog-friendly so there’ll be a water bowl waiting for them. Here for a good time but not for a long time, Kartel is open every evening.

Cherry Rooftop Pop-Up

You won’t have to climb the building to get to the Cherry Rooftop Pop-Up – this fruity fiasco will be held right on top of Metro City! The pop-up sensation features weekly DJ sets under the summer sky, with sessions running from 9pm until late every Saturday until the end of the season.

When: Saturdays, From Feb 8 – Mar 28, 9:00pm – 4:00am following

Sunset Veranda

Sunset Veranda isn’t just any average pop-up bar – it’s a FRINGE WORLD hub, so you can enjoy a range of quirky festival events against a backdrop of the west coast. Tickets are available for a wide range of events from burlesque routines to circus shows, as well as the return of the great Comedy Gala. The best part is everyone is welcome! Bring the whole family – there are events for all ages and tastes.

The Woodside Pleasure Garden

Yet another FRINGE WORLD hub is the lush and lavish Woodside Pleasure Garden. A plethora of wondrous acts make their home in this Northbridge garden, and the bars are just as quirky. Visit the MadFish Fountain Bar, the Giniversity Bar, or Gage Roads Brewing Co. for your drink of choice. Join the Silent Disco or see a show while you’re there! Anything can happen during Fringe.
