Monteverdi’s setting of the Vespers was extraordinary for its time, and is a monumental work that is rarely performed in Perth due to its scope and the forces required. UWA’s Con-Cantorum and soloists lead our performance, and join with the Symphonic Chorus of UWA, St Mary’s Cathedral Choir, and a variety of instruments led by the wonderful Perth Viol Consort. This is a performance that is not be missed.
