Profile
Finding himself at the mansion of a wealthy British family he proceeds to lead a social, sexual and political revolution, transforming their world as the erotic ”other” manifest.
Simultaneously a criticism of colonialism and racism and a celebration of queer sexualities, The Visitor riffs on Pasolini’s Teorema (1968), but the politics in La Bruce’s work is nothing but contemporary and plays fast, funny, and furiously.
The Visitor garnered an A- from Indie Wire, and was nominated for both the Panorama Audience Award for Feature Film and the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival.
