The One Ton Post is the original survey peg, whereas at Cameron Corner, they’ve had to replace theirs with a cement marker.

The One Ton Post is located on the west bank of the Barwon River, just outside of Mungindi. The easiest way to reach the monument is by car. If traveling from Brisbane, take the M2 west and continue onto the Warrego Highway, then turn left onto Barwon Highway. From here, continue straight until you reach Mungindi. Turn right onto Boyle Street and follow this road until you reach the One Ton Post. Parking is available adjacent to the site.
