Steven Logan gives us a lively selection from the 18th century to the present, via Argentina and the Roaring Twenties. Joined by his friends from the string section, he’s swapped his timpani for the marimba. It’s one of the most versatile percussion instruments there is, ranging from bright precision to mellow groove.
