Originating in China over 1,000 years ago, hotpot is now the perfect meal to enjoy and share with others (especially during the colder months). We’ve wrapped up Perth’s best spots to get a bubbling bowl of goodness in the CBD and beyond.

King Hotpot

Victoria Park

Sushi-train meets hotpot in this fun-filled dining experience in the heart of Vic Park. King Hotpot is a personal hotpot experience that begins with picking your soup base (try a spicy one if you dare!), and ends with a delicious bubbling soup filled with everything from Wagyu beef to fish roe dumplings. Just like a sushi train, you pay by plate of ingredients taken, making Dragon Hotpot an awesome experience for people with all budgets. Open for lunch and dinner until late, seven days a week.

Dragon Hotpot

Victoria Park and Northbridge

An authentic hotpot spot, with ingredients laid out in cabinets and soup bases ranging from mild to (very!) spicy, Dragon Hotpot is perfect if you crave a huge warming bowl of fresh meat and veg to share with the table. You pay by weight and not ingredients, so load up your bowls and let the experts cook up your next hotpot adventure. Open for lunch and dinner all week long, but get in early as seats fill fast!

Nice to Meet You

Northbridge

Traditional ‘chuan chuan’ hotpot with ingredients served on sticks and ready to be mixed with delicious spicy soup, Nice to Meet You is an authentic experience that encourages sharing and enjoying with others. With everything from premium beef to seafood on offer and even a stand to make your own hotpot sauce, this cozy restaurant is definitely worth a visit on a cold night in Northbridge. Open for lunch and dinner service every day of the week, except Wednesday.

Kung Fu Kitchen

Northbridge

Combining traditional ingredients with spice and flavour, Kung Fu Kitchen is the ultimate comfort food experience. Choose from mild and spicy soup bases and get to ordering – a side of their delicious pork and prawn dumplings is definitely recommended. Open 11:30 until late every day except Wednesday.
