    Details

      Description

Bindoon, in the picturesque Chittering Valley, is home to fabulous orchards and wineries. From September 11-14 Bindoon holds its annual Wildflower Exhibition at the town hall. Over 200 species will be on display and organised tours will be offered for those who'd like to learn more about the wildflowers in the area.

Dalwallinu's annual Wattle Festival runs from September 6-13.  Dalwallinu is home to the widest range of wattle species in the world, and there are a number of bush tours and wildflower displays offered throughout the festival. Don't forget your boot scooting shoes because the festival concludes with a barn dance and barbecue.

If you're looking for somewhere to base yourself, there's a wide range of Farm Stays, Bed and Breakfasts and Historic Hotels available in the Heartlands. Waddi Farm in Badgingarra is centrally located to the Pinnacles, new Norcia and Mora, and offers accommodation, wildflower tours, a licensed restaurant and café, barbecue and picnic areas, nature trails, a native animal enclosure and photographic displays.

      OTHER STUFF:
The 19th Toodyay Jazz Festival runs from October 24-26. Festivalgoers will be entertained by the Des Camm Jazz Band from Geelong, Steve Waddell's Creole Bells and top Perth ensembles like the Kalamunda Swing band.
