Mt Hassell

Attractions

Description

A popular walk leads to the summit of Mount Hassell and offers excellent views, particularly of Mount Toolbrunup just a couple of kilometres to the west.

As with other walks in the Stirling Range, Mount Hassell features a profusion of colour during the wildflower season. The walk is a moderately difficult trail that starts gently from the car park. It steepens as it approaches a ridge and then leads through thick bush across a saddle. The final scramble up the small rocky castle that forms the summit is easier than it looks from below though extra care should be taken when the rocks are wet and slippery.
