Ground+Co serving delicious coffee, happy service, lame puns & good times in providing employment to break the cycles of homelessness.

Some years ago, our founder Katie travelled to Africa for two months camping in poverty-stricken areas. Upon returning, she felt a mixture of emotions – complete dissatisfaction, anger and deflated with the state of the world. Yet the trip also reignited her passion for life, especially of those less fortunate.

And so, in 2017 The Underground Collaborative was born, a social enterprise that provides employment and housing solutions for people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness. The first initiative is to create jobs through Ground+Co, our coffee cart that provides training and employment for those most marginalised to become baristas.
