Description

The Munda Biddi Trail is a 1,000 km off-road cycling trail in Western Australia that offers picturesque views of unspoiled forests and bushland.

It stretches from Mundaring to Albany, providing breathtaking scenery to cyclists. The trail has stages suitable for all cycling abilities and is open year-round, although it is recommended to ride during spring and autumn due to potentially hazardous conditions in the summer months. The completed trail, which opened in April 2013, is the longest continuous off-road cycling trail of its kind globally.

Records have been set for completing the Munda Biddi Trail, with Craig Wiggins holding the record for completing it in two days, seventeen hours, and 22 minutes. Sacha Dowell holds the female record, completing the trail in three days, fifteen hours, and 43 minutes. Previous records were set by Callum Henderson and Declan von Dietze.

The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation manages the trail as a non-profit organization, working with the Department of Environment and Conservation and other land managers to develop and plan the trail. They also manage volunteers, deliver events, and assist with trip planning.

The trail is divided into three stages, each with different maps. Stage 1 covers Mundaring to Collie, Stage 2 goes from Collie to Northcliffe, and Stage 3 runs from Northcliffe to Albany. Detailed maps are available, and riders can start their journey from multiple locations. Free campsites are available along the trail, making it a convenient option for cyclists embarking on an adventure.
