Python Pool

Attractions

Description

Python Pool is nestled into the Chichester Range at the base of a seasonal waterfall.

Popular, deep swimming hole amidst rock formations close to Roebourne-Wittenoom Road.

The Pool can be dangerous after rain from currents and debris, and in the dry season from algal blooms. There is a day use area with bbq and a number of walk trails from Python Pool. The Python Pool Trail is 200m return. Allow 20 minutes walk over an uneven surface.

The Cameleers Trail turns off the Python Pool Trail and up the steep hill once used by camel and bullock teams. It is 4km return. Allow 90 minutes walk of moderate difficulty over an uneven, rocky surface.
