Description

Filmbites Screen Academy has been specialising in screen skills for young people since 2003 and is a multiple Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM) award winner.

Filmbites has a well-earned reputation as an educator of choice with their "Filmbites Way" approach to teaching screen skills in a safe, encouraging and nurturing environment, allowing for maximum creativity, learning and enjoyment.

Specialising in after-school courses in Screen Acting, Film-making, Animation and Gaming at their Malaga studio (which includes training rooms, a computer lab and a green screen studio) Filmbites has grown to also provide screen acting classes in Bull Creek, Hamilton Hill, Carramar and Baldivis.

Students who display solid skills are invited to join the Filmbites Talent Agency, where young actors are put forward for TV commercials and films (ex-student Shannon Berry currently appears on the TV series Offspring and numerous students also appeared in Paper Planes).

Filmbites also conducts incursions and excursions to metro and regional schools and community groups and courses for home schooled students. One-on-one classes in gaming and animation are also available.

Filmbites' excellence was acknowledge by the  Town of Cambridge's who named Filmbites their Artist-in-Residence for 2016-2018.
