Description

Experience an adventure through the heart of some of the most incredible landscapes Western Australia’s South West region has to offer on the Bibbulmun Track.

It is one of the world’s most revered routes that runs for 1,000 kilometers from the Perth Hills to the historic whaling town of Albany. This walking trail takes in ancient forests, river valleys, and dramatic coastline.

The Bibbulmun Track is a haven of bushland, wildflowers and waterfalls. The town of Kalamunda, where the Bibbulmun Track begins, is a 30-minute drive from Perth. You can traverse the track at your leisure, by breaking off a section for a gentle day walk or joining a guided tour. If you’ve got more time up your sleeve, immerse yourself in a full-scale eight-week adventure, camping in rustic bushland spots along the way or taking advantage of more-luxurious accommodation options in the picturesque towns along the track. Witness birds flittering through the towering jarrah and karri tree forests and spot spiny echidnas, bilbies, and wallabies. The track takes you through ancient river valleys and bushlands, where seasonal wildflowers create colorful diversions. During summer (December to February) temperatures can exceed 40°C and during winter months, the rainfall increases making the track sometimes impassable.

The Bibbulmun Track begins in Kalamunda, approximately a 30-minute drive from Perth. If you're travelling by plane, Perth has an international airport that is serviced by a range of international and domestic airlines.
