Eastwell Estate is located next to the Forest Hill vineyard on the banks of the Hay River, 15kms west of Mt Barker. The Eastwell family, parents Adrian and Margaret and their son Matt, also produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the property’s olive grove, planted with Italian varieties.
The original vineyard was planted in 1998 and the property purchased by the Eastwell family in 2006. Initially just selling the fruit to local winemakers, they soon decided to produce wines under the Eastwell Estate label. From 2008, all vineyard practices incorporate biodynamic preparations and organic practices, and the winemaking processes are as natural as possible. There are no pesticides or herbicides used in the vineyards. The 15 acres of vineyards are planted with semillon, sauvignon blanc, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz.
There is no cellar door available to taste the wines, however the wines and olive oil are available for purchase via their online shop.
