Rooms
This is not a quaint house as with so many in Denmark. The Birches on Mt. Shadforth is modern and new. The house consists of 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, a living/dining area including a kitchen, a large balcony off the living area and a laundry.
The structure is a mixture of rammed limestone, glass, wood and corrugated iron. The furnishings and décor have been carefully selected by an interior designer and are contemporary and comfortable.
Part of Denmark's charm is the cool climate. Winter nights are cold. The living room and bedrooms have split system airconditioners and the beds have electric blankets. You wont be cold inside this house!!! The living room has a Jetmaster wood fire as a feature of the room. Nothing better than snuggling up in front of a real fire.
Bedrooms
It would be suprising if you have ever been in bedrooms larger than these!
Both bedrooms are split level. On one level sits the kingsize bed (the main bedroom has a four poster) and on the other level is your private sitting room and balcony. The sitting rooms have lounges long enough to sleep on or to read or simply watch the kangaroos hopping past or, for the sports / movie fans, watch the big screen TV with DVD player.
The bathroom attached to the main bedroom has a spa and a shower with 2 shower heads as well as 2 basins. The other bathroom is not as large but still modern and well equipped with heated fan.
living room
Not to be confused with the sitting areas in the bedrooms, the living area is separated from the bedrooms by an entrance hall to ensure privacy.
The lounge/dining area is furnished with 2 large lounges, a big screen TV with DVD player and dining table with 8 funky chairs. Did we mention the large balcony with stunning views to the southern ocean?
The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances.

The laundry has a washing machine and dryer for your use if you really have to!!
