Deep Sea Fishing in Coral Bay

Go deep sea fishing for Red Emperor, Pearl Perch and Robinson Sea Bream from the beautiful seaside town of Coral Bay.

    Details

      Description

Coral Bay is located on the Ningaloo Marine Park, midway up the WA coast, where the warm water is not only a favourite playground for tourists, but also for whales, dugongs, manta rays, dolphins and some fantastic deep sea table fish. If you're yet to try deep sea fishing there are a number of experienced operators in Coral Bay who can show you how it's done.

Sea Force, Ningaloo Experience, Coral Bay Charter & Glass Bottom Boats and Coral Bay Ocean & Game Fishing Charters offer half through to full-day tours with no fishing experience required.  Having operated in the area for many years, the skippers know all the hot spots, but just to make sure you have a successful day's fishing, most of the vessels are equipped with GPS to make it a little easier.

Included in the tours are all your fishing gear and light refreshments, and if you don't like the thought of cleaning your own fish, the crew will do it for you. All you need to bring is sun protection, lunch, and a couple of coldies for the trip home.

Along with their standard day tours, Sea Force offers fishing holiday packages for groups of 10, which include flights to Coral Bay with Skywest or Skippers, and full days spent deep-sea fishing. While Sea Force's 50ft West Coaster is extremely comfortable with large viewing areas, comfy seats and a huge fishing platform, it does not have sleeping facilities, so the packages also include accommodation in town to suit most budgets. Packages can also be arranged to include all your food and fishing gear.

Fishing is good year round in Coral Bay, and while the town is located too far south to be seriously affected by cyclones, the weather during the summer months can sometimes be a little wet. To ensure you get enough time on the water we recommend you book a seven day package. Fisheries limit catches to seven per person per day in the marine park, so staying a little longer will mean you get to catch and keep more fish.

If you're interested in purchasing your own gear, or simply don't want to lug your rods and tackle up from Perth, both Coral Bay supermarkets, and the local tackle shop sell everything you'll need. If you're keen to use your own gear, Skywest and Skippers fly regularly from Perth to Exmouth and can arrange for your gear to be flown up. It is a good idea to call in advance in case your particular flight is fully booked and the baggage weight has been met. Once in Exmouth Allen's Hire Cars are available at the airport for a one way trip to Coral Bay, or alternatively Coral Coast Tours or Coral Bay Adventures can pick you up from the airport.
