Description

The Chittering Valley is renowned for its world class quality citrus due to its rich soil. From the very beginning Rocco decided to open the orchard to the public. Since then thousands from Western Australia and overseas have come to visit and enjoy picking their own fruit whilst dining in supplied facilities.

The orchard consists of over 13,000 trees, containing three varieties of Summer oranges(Valencia). These are best from August to May.

During the Winter and Spring (peak season for citrus harvest) there are six varieties of Navel oranges including a Red flesh navel. We have Seville oranges which are great for marmalade - they are a low acid orange that is very popular for tropical tastes and is not an allergen for people who cannot normally tolerate oranges.

Other citrus varieties grown at the orchard include lemons, limes and grapefruit. Please note that these crops are only available in Winter and Spring - June to October in Western Australia.
