Mangrove Bay

Attractions

Description

A 100m walk from Mangrove Bay car park to a purpose-built hide allows you to quietly watch some local and migratory birds in a coastal mangrove swamp.

Follow the track from the right-hand side of the carpark to a boardwalk that winds through the mangroves to the bird hide. Here you can observe resident and migratory birds in the coastal mangrove wetland. Remember to walk quietly if you want to see the birds that frequent the area. Interpretive signs in the bird hide will help you identify some of the regulars. Visit Milyering Discovery Centre for a bird list.

Warning - At dawn, dusk and following rain events, take precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Long loose clothing and personal repellent is recommended.
