Cable Beach (Broome) is an exposed beach break that offers left and right-handers, perfect for beginners.
The opitmum conditions for surfing at Cable Beach are during the cyclone seaosn with eaterly winds and waves coming from a west-north-west direction. The surf is fairly inconsistent throughout the year and when the swells do roll in, the waves a re relatively small. The moajority of surfers use long boards however, you will often see a range or short boards and mals being used, especially when the swell picks up during the cycolne season. Cable Beach is often very crowded with swimmers so you can always drive further down the beach for a less crowded spot, just beware or the fast changing tides.
