Description

Treat yourself to a wilderness holiday at the doorstep of nature's own retreat at Gnylmarung. Let the ocean whisper its secrets to you and let the sun show you its splendour when both meet at dusk.

Would you like to spend a few days in a tranquil bush setting listening to the native birds? Perhaps you would like to do a bit of fishing or diving? Gnylmarung is an eco-friendly retreat which operates on solar power and an environmentally friendly philosophy.

Located 150km north of Broome, the Gnylmarung community was established in 1995 and is surrounded by lush green vegetation and pristine white beaches. Experience the magic of Gnylmarung's secluded beaches and witness the beauty of an outback sunset over the Indian Ocean. This retreat is a partuclarly popular spot amongst fisherman.

Gnylmarung is owned and operated by Alphonose and Delma Cox. Growing up in Beagle Bay, the couple raised their seven children at Gnylmarung and are always willing to share their local knowledge, especially 'where the fish are biting'. If you are lucky enough, they might join you at your campfire for a singalong.

Gnylmarung offers over 20 camping sites, either with an ocean view, in shaded areas or in secluded bushland. Wash-up sinks are provided at camp sites, along with good drinking water and bush bbq's. Clean ablution blocks with solar showers and a laundry with a washing machine is also included.
