At Upper Reach, owners Laura and Derek Pearse believe wine is one of life’s essentials- along with good food, family and friends. They grow and care for the grapes as they ripen; agonising over such things as irrigation and which day to hand pick our fruit.
Laura and Derek's aim is to highlight the character of our Swan Valley estate grown fruit, creating wines that are fresh, vibrant and full flavoured. Each wine reflects the vintage and the vineyard.
The Wines:
All the wines are estate-grown. Varieties include Swan Valley classics of Verdelho, Shiraz, Grenache and Muscat, along with Chardonnay, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo and more.
Wine Tasting:
At the Cellar Door you can experience the fruits of our labour, taste these wines and our friendly and knowledgeable team will help you choose which wines are right for you. Come and find out why Upper Reach is awarded Best Small Cellar Door by Gourmet Traveller consistently. Wine tastings are offered daily from 11am to 5pm.
The Food:
Whether you are taking your family out for a relaxed lunch or planning the wedding of a lifetime, the Restaurant at Upper Reach, in a quiet corner of the Swan Valley is an absolute find. With small tasting plates and a la carte options the restaurant offers sensational food using locally-sourced ingredients in a relaxed setting, taking in the sweeping views over the vineyard.

Relax and explore with a two night stay in our vineyard cottage then wander down to the Cellar Door for your personal Winery Tour finishing with a two course Lunch in the Restaurant.
