A third-generation family-owned vineyard, making full-bodied reds, dry whites and muscat from their 1920s property in the picturesque Swan Valley region.
Katgully Wines is a family-owned vineyard located in the picturesque Swan Valley, at the foothills of the Darling Range. The property occupies a special place for the Dundo family, as the original home built when they arrived in WA from Croatia in the early 1920s remains on the property and has since been restored back to its original state. The vineyards are planted with Shiraz, Merlot, Graciano, Sangiovese, Verdelho and Viognier and original winemaking equipment constructed in the 1920s remains on the site.
The 'Katgully' label represents the first letter of the three sons within the family: 'K' for Kirk, 'A' for Adam and 'T' for Tony, all of whom comprise the third generation of family members to own the vineyard.
Wines made include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Petit Verdot, Shiraz Merlot, Muscat, Verdelho, Chardonnay and Rose.
