Just 50 minutes from Perth, this picture-perfect estate is one of WA’s most awarded destinations, known especially for its Gourmet Traveller Top 100 restaurant that grows most of its produce onsite.

Millbrook is a boutique winery and acclaimed restaurant in the historic town of Jarrahdale in the Perth Hills wine region of Western Australia – 50 minutes south-east of the capital Perth. The winery is located at picturesque Chestnut Farm, nestled among jarrah forests with stunning vistas of the rolling landscape.

The origins of Chestnut Farm date back to the 19th century when the original owner, Joseph Batt, planted an orchard and grapevines in 1865. Batt’s winemaking landed him in the Supreme Court where he was fined for selling wine from the premises without a colonial licence.

Owners Peter and Lee Fogarty set their sights on winemaking, planting vines in 1996 and in 2001 a stunning winery, including a tasting room and restaurant was completed.

The Wines

The 20-acre estate plantings are focused on the Rhône varieties of Shiraz and Viognier. Millbrook also sources parcels of fruit from exceptional sites across Western Australia, working with expert and dedicated growers to create modern and stylish wines that represent authentic and vibrant varietal character.

Wine Tasting

Located just two kilometres from the township of Jarrahdale, visit the Millbrook Winery Cellar Door after exploring the beautiful surrounds of the Perth Hills.

With a diverse art collection on display, as well as picturesque views over the lake and gardens, the Millbrook Cellar Door is the perfect place to spend a relaxing hour or two before or after lunch.

Offering a selection of wines to taste across our Regional, Limited Release and Estate ranges, you can also enjoy a glass of wine and some premium local or housemade cheese and charcuterie platters on our beautiful balcony and then take a bottle or two of your favourite Millbrook wine home with you.

The Food

The highly acclaimed, two Chef Hat Millbrook Restaurant is led by Executive Chef Guy Jeffreys and Head Chef Justin Wong. The estate’s one-acre garden provides the inspiration for the ever-changing seasonal menus.

With 100 varieties of heirloom vegetables, an orchard and other produce sustainably grown on the estate or sourced from local suppliers, our kitchen creates dishes bursting with flavour which pair perfectly with Millbrook’s premium wines. Please note bookings are essential.

For something less formal, pre-book a picnic hamper, filled with an array of seasonal snacks and treats to enjoy on the estate's stunning grounds.
