Description

The museum is located in the town’s old hospital and as well as medical exhibits the museum has displays of photographs and many aspects of the town’s development. There is a town heritage walk and tourist information is available at the bakery and roadhouse on Fenton Street. The former hospital was used between 1930 and 1965 when a new facility was opened. . In 1971, the Wongan Ballidu Museum/Historical Society took over the premises, which was opened on 14 April 1972, by the Minister for Local Government, Claude Stubbs,
