  • Hosted By:Imagination Foundation
  • Venue:Perth Cultural Centre
  • Audience:For kids 4-12

Description

Inspired by the short film, “Caine’s Arcade,” the Global Cardboard Challenge is a worldwide celebration of child creativity and the role communities can play in fostering it.

We’ve asked the children of Perth in primary schools, playgroups and clubs “What does the world need more of?”. Their cardboard creations had to reflect this brief, and include at least one moving part, using only recycled items. Join in the challenge by creating your own cardboard creation to add to the exhibition!

The Global Cardboard Challenge gives children an opportunity to explore their imaginations and unleash their natural creative talents. As they design and build, they engage in a simple learning process called Creative Play. It teaches valuable 21st century skills like critical thinking, resourcefulness, perseverance, and collaboration. It also brings communities together to foster and celebrate child creativity!
