Description
A bio-comedy sports drama directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, in which the plot is loosely based on the 1973 tennis match between World number one Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs.
A match that became one of the most watched televised sports events of all time and reshaped modern sports as we know it. Trapped in the media glare, King and Riggs were on opposite sides of a binary argument, but off-court each was fighting more personal and complex battles.
“Listen, I have a great idea. Male chauvinist pig versus hairy legged feminist, no offence. You’re still a feminist, right?” Bobby Riggs
