A specialty coffee short course with a sweet finish.
Go behind the scenes and experience the art and science of coffee roasting as Beck and Call Coffee's Kade Sims shares his approach to sourcing, roasting, blending and tasting specialty coffee. See a production roast in action and learn how the chemistry of the roasting process unlocks the flavours inside the humble coffee seed. You will then enjoy a cupping (tasting) session to explore the sensory qualities of coffee attributable to terroir, farming and roasting techniques. To round things off, a freshly brewed espresso paired with decadent doughnuts, hand crafted by Albany's Drip Lock. Participants will also receive a bag of coffee roasted on the day to take home.
