One of Australia's premier open water swimming events. Solo, duo and team swimmers cross the channel from Leighton Beach to Rottnest Island's iconic waterfront pub.
A true open water challenge and a spectacle to behold! The Port to Pub is an annual swimming event comprising endurance races over two distances: a 19.7km direct crossing for solo, duo and team swimmers and an 25km ultra-marathon for qualified swimmers, one of the longest endurance swims in the southern hemisphere.
Both races start at Leighton Beach and finish at Hotel Rottnest where celebrations and entertainment continue into the night.
The flotilla of swimmers, paddlers and boats setting out across the channel is a spectacular sight to view from the coast near Fremantle, Cottesloe or Rottnest Island.
