Description
We detour off the main flow of the Swan, discovering birdlife flourishing in wetlands and a wildlife sanctuary known as Kuljak Island
Paddling through the wildlife sanctuary and around to Tranby House is just a little taste of what will unfold. During today, we detour off the main flow of the Swan, discovering birdlife flourishing in wetlands and a wildlife sanctuary known as Kuljak Island, which is located in the middle of the river - once a rubbish dump it has been rehabilitated into a wildlife sanctuary. Another highlight of today's paddle is a stop off at the Historical Landmark, Tranby House where your Adventurous Women Host will be serving up a yummy picnic lunch. The paddle will continue until the river begins to widen. Another fabulous day of kayaking and exploring! The distance of the paddle is 7km and should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required.
